Delete your account

Last updated 19 October 2026

This page explains how to delete your Bixobook account and data from the Bixobook app on Android, iOS and the web, published by Bixobook.

1. How to ask for deletion

You can ask us to delete your Bixobook account, and the personal data in it, at any time. Use either way below.

  1. By email. Write to support@bixobook.in with the subject “Delete my Bixobook account”. Include your registered mobile number and business name. Send it from the email on your account if you have one.
  2. In the app. Open More → Help & support, start a new ticket, and write “Delete my account”.

Email a deletion request

To protect your account, we confirm the request by sending a one-time code to your registered mobile number, or by calling you on it. We do not delete an account until the owner confirms.

2. Before you delete

  • Download your records. Deletion cannot be undone. Export your items, customers, bills and reports from the app first, and keep the copies you need for GST and accounts.
  • Cancel a paid plan under Settings → Plan & billing by choosing the Free plan, so auto-pay stops. Also stop the mandate in your UPI app if it still shows.
  • Use your wallet balance, or ask for a refund of unused recharges as our refund policy allows. Unused balance is lost when the account is deleted.
  • Your shop website and online store go offline, and pending online orders are cancelled. Finish or cancel open orders first.

3. What we delete

When we delete your account, we permanently delete or anonymise:

  • your profile: name, mobile number, email, Google sign-in link and sign-in sessions;
  • your business profile, logo, shop website, store settings, reviews and coupons;
  • items, photos, stock, customers, suppliers and khata entries;
  • marketing segments, campaigns, message templates and AI results;
  • staff access to the business, and your connected integrations and their keys;
  • uploaded files, such as product photos and documents.

4. What we keep, and for how long

The law requires us to keep some records after an account is deleted. We keep only these, only for as long as needed, and use them for nothing else:

  • Invoices and payments for your Bixobook plans, wallet and add-ons: kept for up to 8 years under GST and income tax law.
  • Security and audit logs (for example sign-ins and payment events): deleted after 180 days.
  • Backups: your data drops out of backups on their normal cycle, within 90 days.
  • Records we must keep because of a legal dispute, a fraud check or an order from an authority, until that matter ends.

5. How long it takes

We confirm your request within 2 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days of your confirmation. We tell you by SMS or email when it is done. If you sign in again with the same number later, you start with a new, empty account.

6. Staff, shoppers and customers

Staff: if you only want to leave a business you were invited to, ask its owner to remove you, or write to us. Your sign-in account can be deleted separately, without affecting the owner’s business data.

Shoppers and a shop’s customers: your details are held by the shop you dealt with. Ask the shop to delete them. If it does not, write to support@bixobook.in with the shop’s name and your phone number, and we will help. You can also contact our Grievance Officer at support@bixobook.in.
